To keep artists block away and not only rely on sporadic inspiration, I asked my husband to write down a variety of art prompts and put them in a jar. I did not want to write or see them so I wouldn’t begin thinking of ideas for them all at once. Instead, choosing a prompt and drawing what comes to mind for it one portrait at a time.
